(Beaver Falls, Pa) According to Beaver County District Attorney Nate Bible, Beaver Falls Police responded to a call at about 5 a.m. on Wednesday regarding a home invasion on the 1000 Block of 10th Avenue in Beaver Falls. The female resident, who has not been identified, heard her cellar door slam and then glass breaking. She went to the basement and shot the intruder, Brent Farmer, 49, three times, resulting in his death. The coroner ruled the incident a homicide. DA Bible stated that no charges will be filed against the homeowner as she was acting in self-defense, emphasizing that individuals have the right to protect themselves when someone breaks into their home. Law enforcement remained on the scene for approximately seven hours.
